It's a Great Day for a...Robot?!?

Check THIS out!!!  SOOOO COOL!

Daily 5:
Please have your Exponents worksheet out while you're doing your D5.
1.  Write in expanded notation: "four to the fifth power"
2.  Write as a power:  8 x 8 x 8 x 8 x 8 x 8
3.  On computers, the ^ symbol (carat) means "to the power of".  So 2^4 would be "two to the power of 4."  Find the error in this expression:  4^3 = 12

DRAW A PICTURE FOR #4 & #5!!!
4.  On a scale, if 2 apples balance 1 orange, how many apples will balance 3 oranges?
5.  If 3 bananas balance 2 apples, how many bananas will balance 3 oranges?

In Class:
  • Check "Exponents" Worksheet.
  • School climate survey. . .
  • Choose a game to play from "Math Links"
NO HOMEWORK OVER THE WEEKEND!  Have fun!
