Spring has Sprung!

HAPPY SPRING!  Enjoy the changing weather and the longer days as we move into Spring Break.

Science students: If you want to begin some animal research during Spring Break, feel free!  You will need to do a report (that we'll put online!) on five different animals: 2 invertebrates (simple invertebrates, arthropods, mollusks, and echinoderms) and 3 vertebrates (fish, amphibian, reptile, bird, and mammal).  You'll need to include the following elements in your report:
  1. Common name and scientific name (Genus species)
  2. Physical description (including size)
  3. Range (where is it found in the world?)
  4. Habitat
  5. Diet
  6. Behavior and Adaptations (tricks or methods the animal uses to survive)
  7. How it reproduces
  8. Relationship to people
  9. Status (common, rare, threatened, endangered?)
  10. Other cool information (ancestors?, change of range?, farmed?)
Have fun and be safe during your time off!
