Toothpick Fish Lab

Many factors can affect the size of a population in an environment.  The natural cycle of predator and prey can have a big effect on the number of each.  Human involvement in the environment can also affect the number of organisms in a species through pollution, deforestation, etc.  The Toothpick Fish lab is a great way to see natural selection in progress.  You will need a bag of toothpicks from class and this packet to do the lab (use pages 2-4 and Tables A and B at the end).
